The first day: Who are you? Why are you taking this class and what do you hope to learn?


     I am Barbara Hidalgo, I'm 15 years old and I started high school here at Flanagan. Before this school, I came from Franklin Academy Cooper City in which I did grades 5th through 8th. I was born May 15, 2008, in Maracay, Venezuela. I moved to the U.S. when I was 7 years old, and I have lived in Florida since then.

     I am taking this class because it was put into my schedule. Originally, I had picked culinary arts but instead they gave me Media studies. At first, I wanted to change my schedule, but I decided to stick with media studies because I didn't want to get my whole schedule changed because of one class change. Also, because it's an AICE class and I'm taking AICE Eng gen paper 1. I have had many dream jobs, and one was to be a photographer. Since in this class we study films and media, I would like to learn to film and analyze media. I also look forwards to working with others and getting to know more about the way others think about media studies.

 Over the shoulder shot, POV shot     The "Over the shoulder" shot was taken by Chantell. I believe this shot shows a lot of emotion and leaves the viewers wondering what they are talking about. The "POV" shot was taken by me, Barbara Hidalgo. I'm proud of this shot because it looks like the viewer is actually shaking hands with Chantell. It was difficult  trying to take the picture on the right angle to make it seem like the viewers are actually there. Long wide shot, Low angle shot       The "long wide shot" was taken by Chantell. Preparing to Film Blog Post

  Challenges: Finding a place to film Finding props Finding a day where everyone is free. Making everyone corporate Easy: Being Dramatic Filming and editing Roles: Kyle: Plays the character Dwyane. Brother of Luciana who alerts them about a killer on loose he saw on the news. Barbara: Plays the character Luciana. Sister of Dwyane. Friends of Valentina and Ryley. The second person who was killed. Barbara has to play the role of a dead person. Bianca: Plays the character Valentina. Friend of Luciana and Ryley. She was one of the first people "killed" so Bianca plays the role of a dead person. She also plays the role of the killer on the loose. Supporting Character analysis Blog Post

 The two supporting characters are Luciana and Valentina. These characters are played by Barbara and Bianca. They both wear pjs. Luciana has brown hair in a bun and has brown eyes. Valentina has brown hair down and brown eyes. Valentina is always joking, joyful, and fun. Luciana is respectful, kind, and honest. Valentina, Luciana, and Ryley and best friends and love to hang out with each other. Luciana and Dwayne are siblings. Luciana is panicked, scared, and confused. Valentina is panicked but seems a little suspicious, but no one seemed to catch onto that.
